Did you know that 92% of companies are using social media to recruit new employees? LinkedIn is the #1 job search tool currently being used all over the world by both corporate and agency recruiters. A corporate recruiter acts as your connection into a company. Remember, their job is to find the best possible candidate for a position, so you need to MAGNIFY YOUR MARKETABILITY by ensuring that your LinkedIn profile is up-to-date and professional. My best advice is that you should provide a brief background about yourself and your interests, and then ask for advice about how to differentiate as top talent from your competition––NOT asking for a job! It is best to build a relationship with the recruiter first. You can refer back to one of my older blogs for more information about how to not network with recruiters. Keep these tips in mind when you are expanding your network, and check out these corporate recruiters I’m personally connected to from various industries below. Make sure to do your research before reaching out. Check if there are openings in your area of expertise. If there is, then there’s a higher likelihood you would get a response.
