Have you ever had a low point in your life or career? What impact did it have on you? In light of that, what did you do?

In this video, I’m going to share something that I haven’t shared publicly. I believe now is the right time. It’s one of the BEST things that happened that gave me the kick-in-the-butt to start my business five years ago. I want to be vulnerable with you in hopes to inspire you to pursue what matters to you.

This incident happened on January 17, 2011. I was lost, sad, hurt and confused. On the other hand, it gave me the fire to jump start my business! I was determined and committed. Looking back, I believe it happened for a reason. It helped me become a better person and be of greater service.

Within a month of starting my business, I was also offered an exciting and unique opportunity. I received an offer from Google to be their first and only Recruiter in Canada. My mandate was to help double the Toronto office by hiring sales people. This happened so fast! I remember receiving the offer in the car on Valentine’s Day. Working at Google gave me the insights of what it means to differentiate as the best of the best talent. This experience was the springboard in growing my business.

The lesson I learned: [Tweet “When one door closes, another door opens.”]
