1) What was your situation prior to reaching out to My Marketability? What were your challenges or struggles?
I was getting tired of the digital marketing industry and wanted to make a change. I felt that I had peaked at my current company, both position, and salary.
2) Why did you hire My Marketability? What were your desired results?
I hired Diana because I wanted something different – something more. I reached out to Diana and presented my current situation and she told me that my current salary would be what a new grad would make. Since I had been out of school for awhile at that time, that made me realize that I was being severely underpaid and knew that making a change was the right move. I hired Diana because I believe she could coach me and guide me through the process and help achieve my desired results: to work for a Tier 1 Brand and have a substantial increase in salary (at least 30% increase).
3) What was your experience working with your Coach? What did you like best?
Diana was very responsive via Email and gave me a lot of guidance and encouragement. She definitely has the tools to not only make you stand out in an interview but also how to get your foot in the door in some of the biggest companies in Canada.
With competition for jobs being fierce as ever, I had put in my mind that I should be applying for as many jobs as I could. Diana instead dials it back and presents you with a game plan so you’re more focused on working a few job opportunities and nailing them instead of applying to as many jobs as possible silently praying for a call.
4) How did coaching help you? What did you gain?
Coaching gave me a game plan and the ‘secrets’ to not only make the transition to a different industry but to also get an opportunity at one of the biggest telecommunication companies in Canada.
I gained skills in networking, interviewing and tailoring my message and personal brand to my targeted audience. I only had to go to one interview to receive a job offer (which is incredibly mind-blowing because the odds weren’t exactly in my favor at the beginning.)
I received a job offer in the telecommunications company as a Specialist in Loyalty and Retention. I received a 30% raise in base salary and if I hit my bonus I could make as much as 50% more yearly compared to my previous job.
